Foot   Lockers   New   Raffle   System

11/14/2017

The Jordan 11 retro high "win like 82" released this week, myself along with hundreds others I'm sure found their way entering raffles for the very sought after 11, however footlocker did something new this week with their raffle system. Instead of the old come in and get a raffle ticket, write your name, number and size and keep your half of the ticket incase you win, they totally switched it up and I'm not sure how I feel about it yet! For this raffle when you went into the store like normal to enter they handed you a flier with instructions on how to enter via the footlocker app. This is a smart way to get people to download the app and get more people using their sites but is it the best way to run a raffle? When you downloaded to app you could go to the upcoming shoe to be raffled, enter for your size and select 3 stores. That stunk for me since there is only one footlocker store around here. Next you could bypass others and get early access to the shoe by signing up to be a VIP member, this was interesting because it didn't seem to do anything for those who are already VIP members, just if you were to sign up right then were you to get an advantage. You could also go to a footlocker store near you and check in to the store to get early access to the release and there was one other thing you could do but honestly I forgot lol. After all that I did not participate in anyway to get the early access advantage and was "wait listed" on the shoes, later it updated stating that I had won. So did getting early access actually help you get the shoe and secure it faster or is footlocker just being smart with their marketing to get more people to sign up for VIP and going to check into a store hoping maybe while there you would see something and buy it? The world may never know! I am not a fan of the new raffling system after this one but maybe I will be in the future as it seems like it could more convenient. Let me know what you think, did you win the shoes?
